CL&L is a non-profit lifelong learning school for people 55+, offering a wide selection of enjoyable and thought-provoking non-credit classes in the daytime on weekdays.  Founded in 1994 at Marymount College, CL&L is an independent organization.  Classes are held on E. 68 Street.

Our expert all-volunteer faculty comes from the academic world, business, the arts and other fields.  Students can take as unlimited classes for one affordable registration fee.  They enjoy intellectual stimulation and interaction in a lively, friendly atmosphere.  Topics are both timely and timeless – current events and issues, literature and poetry, history, film, music and more.  Students design their own curriculum, enrolling in unlimited classes. Classes offered: Tues., Wed. and Thurs. during the day.

Friends of St. Catherine’s Park (FSCP) is a volunteer neighborhood organization dedicated to the maintenance and beautification of St. Catherine’s Park. FSCP maintains the park gardens and helps keep the playground in good repair. Examples of FSCP improvements include installation of a sprinkler system, donation of materials and labor for a park tool shed, a rodent control program and more. FSCP also co-sponsors various events for children, such as the biannual It’s My Park Day, summer book readings in conjunction with the 67^th Street branch library, summer yoga classes, music event and marionette puppet theater.

P.S. 183 educates more than 550 children in Kindergarten through Grade 5. The PTA supplements and funds many of the school’s programs, including but not limited to classroom libraries, science, music, art, physical education and technology initiatives. It holds fund-raisers, charity drives, educational workshops, and special events for its diverse, international parent community. A principal means of support is an Antiques Flea and Farmers’ Market. The market is open every Saturday from 8 am - 6 pm. Enter from 66^th or 67^th Streets between York and First Avenues.
